About the festival
The music agency Trifolium was established in 1999 by its director Mr. Martin Prokeš. In the course of its activities it has organized over 500 concerts of period music groups. The agency is an exclusive representative of Schola Gregoriana Pragensis. Further, the agency organized 9 volumes of an International Music Festival Lípa Musica. In 2009, Mr. Prokeš was awarded by Česká Lípa Mayor for his contribution to the development of culture in the region. Apart from its activities linked to the operation of the agency, it further cooperates with the Arbor Civic Association in the area of cultural-spiritual values development of the borderland.
Arbor Civic Association was established in 2000. The aim of the association is to convey high cultural and spiritual values (especially in the area of music) to a wide range of person interested, especially in the region of Česká Lípa and other regions, where past political regime dramatically impaired the historical tradition in creating and receiving these values. The association especially focuses on operating non-commercial and border genres. It aims to cooperate with German neighbours in this area with whom we are linked in the framework of the historical development. In accordance with the meaning of the association’ name (arbor, lat. tree, mast, oar, boat) the credo of the association is „common Europe as a tree which knows its roots in their full extend and deeply honours them“. Since 2007 the association is a main co-organizer of the International Music Festival Lípa Musica.
