Železný Brod, Town Theatre

Town Theatre in Železný Brod is located on the first floor of the Town Hall. The theatre was built together with the Town Hall. Two years later the theatre was opened by the amateur theatre ensemble Tyl from Železný Brod who performed a play named Awakened.
The original curtain was painted by Vlastimil Rada and Václav Rabas. Thus curtain can be viewed today in Town’s Gallery of Vlastimil Rada. The curtain, which decorates the theatre today, was made by Miroslav Hrach in 1980.

In the course of previous years the theatre undergone several reconstructions from which the biggest one took place in 1996.
